In a book so modest in size, we have deemed it best to try to do one thing well and so have confined ourselves to some of the delightful dishes produced by baking. Then, realizing the importance of the proper serving of delicious foods, we have given adequate space to this interesting feature. Times has also been taken to discuss combinations of foods in which each dish fits and blends into a composite menu of unusual taste and balance. It is our hope that this book may be taken into a quiet corner for sincere reading.
