Description -
Brief text and 33 watercolors depict the activities of a bluebird family.
Critique of genre: This is a nice simple example of an informational book about bluebirds. The story starts out with a mommy and daddy bluebird who are building a nest to lay their eggs in. They end up hatching five little baby birds and we get to see then grow up, learn how to fly and fend for themselves before heading south for the winter.
Theme: The theme of this book seems to be about growing up and all of the changes and responsibilities that come with that.
