An illustrated history of eight American volunteer aviators who flew in the Polish Air Force during the war of independence against the Soviets. pictures, and suitable maps.


To repay a debt of over a 100 years, wherein a Polish patriot came to America to assist in the War of Independence, a group of 8 men elected to not go home at the end of the WWI hostilities; but to go help Poland fight a war for a `new' Poland. They named their flying group the Kosciuszko Squadron - after that original patriot. They flew the Albatross and the Italian-made Ansaldo Balillas.
